Montgomery Real Estate Market Blooms!

Mid-town Montgomery's March home sales reflect the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® revised 2006 housing sales forecast. In a report released last week, NAR is now calling for sales prices to level out and remain at historically high levels.

Mid-town home sales this March are down slightly compared to March 2005, with 58 Mid town homes selling in 2006 compared to 66 in 2005. However, pending sales increased over last year by 7 which indicates an active spring market. The number of new homes on the market decresed from 112 in March 2005 to 105 in March this year.

Buyers will have less homes to choose from and more competition. Buyers will have to make their offers more favorable to sellers than they did a few months ago and should take advantage of buyer representation to assist them in negotiating the best possible terms.
Sellers will want to be represented by a Realtor who has experience in the market and can educate you to the nuances of this spring's market.
