Montgomery Keeps On Going And Going...

WOW! Look at the appreciation we are seeing in Mid-town Montgomery. The averge sales price in April was up $40,251 compared to April 2005 or 33%. Year-to-date, sales prices are up a total of 20%.

This double digit appreciation is coming at a time when many U.S. markets are seeing a softening of prices. I have always said, "Montgomery zigs when the rest of the country zags."
The number of sales was down in April by 20 homes, but this is a reflection of a leveling of the market, making the market more balanced for buyers and sellers.

Spring is the busiest time of year for Montgomery real estate. Folks are trying to purchase a home so they can move during the kids' summer vacation. Sellers, this means May and June is a perfect time to get your house on the market. This is when the most buyers are out there looking and are ready, willing and able to buy. Buyers, you will need to really understand what is going on in the market to get the best possible deal.
